Operations

The program operates at Edelweiss Valley Resort on both Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. It is open to disabled skiers and snowboarders of all ages and disabilities.

Disabled skiers are provided with equipment, a lift ticket and a trained ski partner to provide assistance for the entire day. Certified instructor/supervisors provide instruction for a portion of the day, which is reinforced by the ski partners.

Registration

Starting this year the Edelweiss Program will be completing registration on-line.  You can access the link here.   All participants and volunteers are encouraged to register as early as possible.   The registration process is secure, private and the personal information collected will only be used by the Edelweiss Program Coordinator in support of the CADS program.

The registration process will take approximately 15 minutes on line for this first year.   In subsequent years, the time required to submit your registration will be only a few minutes as all your information will be remembered.

The Edelweiss Program will be accepting a small number of new students into the program this year and space is limited, therefore, all returning students are strongly encouraged to register as soon as possible.   Submitting the registration online does not guarantee a spot in the CADS Edelweiss Program as total number of participants is determined by our number of volunteers.  However, the Edelweiss Program accepts participants on a first come, first serve basis.

Fees

• Junior is 16 years of age and younger.

• 2 day trials will only be accepted if volunteers
  are available based on an acceptable skier to volunteer ratio.

• Volunteer Season Pass requires minimum of 6 days volunteered plus one training day

• The "Club Pass" will be for people sponsored by a member (student or volunteer). The pass provides the holder with 8 lift tickets, which are redeemable at any regular program ski day. The pass will only be available at the registration nights and weekends 1 & 2 of the program and is non-refundable.

• The price of a Club Pass is $150 ($16 x 8 lift passes + $22 donation to CADS-NCD, Edelweiss Program)

   

  In the past few years, we have had a number of volunteers, parents and siblings request club passes and/or season passes. As our MSSI Winter package has discounted rates for these season passes, we felt that for 2010, we would pass these options along to the CADS-NCD, Edelweiss membership. The goal is not to make or lose money on these passes.
   

   

Fitting days

Fittings are by appointment only. Appointments can be made at the Information night or can be made by contacting the program coordinator. Fittings take approximately ½ hour and are available on a first-come first-serve basis between 08:30 and 15:30 on Fitting Days (please check the schedule).
